About My Clients
Stuck in negativity and feeling worried all the time, you may feel like life is being spent on worrying. Perhaps you can relate. Maybe your days start to blur together or you're noticing that you complain a lot about feeling stressed, tired, and unfulfilled. Individual therapy can help you feel like your real self again, helps you rise above your challenges, and start moving towards your ideal life with less stress and more calm.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in San Antonio, Texas. I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University and obtained my masters degree in Individual and Family psychotherapy in 2015. I have gained a wide array of experience working with children and adolescents that experience mild to extensive trauma, anxiety, adjustment, and depression. I have experience providing therapy amongst Spanish-speaking populations, children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Additionally, I have experience in working with individuals going through immigration issues such as family separation and grief/loss. Currently, I primarily work with adults women. I utilize a strength-based and collaborative approach with clients and primarily use solution-focused and narrative therapies. I aim to provide a safe, collaborative and healing space where clients can work through and accomplish desired goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My own growth through personal life struggles is what helps me relate so deeply with clients. As a first generation Mexican-American Latina balancing my multiple identities was a struggle. I know the difficulty of navigating family expectations, language, and cultural barriers, all while learning about who you are. I, myself, have struggled with doubting myself, finding balance, and embracing all parts of me. My life experiences are what lead me to become the Therapist I am today.
