Accepting Clients

I support queer and BIPOC folx who are done shape-shifting for belonging & safety and ready to embody their power, instead of "perform" it.

About My Clients

My clients are BIPOC and/or queer and have learned shape-shift, achieve, and navigate spaces never built with them in mind in order to ascend in life. They are highly capable, driven, and successful - yet the same survival strategies that build their ascent are keeping them overwhelmed, burnt out and disconnected from their bodies, relationships, and purpose. They want to feel grounded, confident and powerful; I help uncover their innate wisdom that already knows how.

My Background and Approach

I offer somatic therapy for folx navigating chronic stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and identity confusion. I help clients understand their body’s responses to and unravel survival patterns keeping them stuck, while cultivating trust, grounding, and clarity in their bodies and themselves. I primarily use AEDP, IFS, and relational work with individuals and couples. Traditional talk therapy often asks folx to “sit with” their emotions, like sitting beside a lake, observing the surface. Somatic therapy invites you to get in the water, at whatever pace feels right: learning to sense, experience and interpret the language your body uses to communicate with you. Our bodies hold non-verbal maps of who we are, of how others have (or haven't) met our needs and how the world works. These maps form nervous system level, long before our thinking minds get involved. Somatic therapy helps you identify which of those maps need updating so you can feel lighter, clearer, and resilient.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I offer therapy that is anti-racist, sex positive, trauma-informed, and gender affirming. I identify as queer, Latinx, and bi-racial. - I am committed to the life-long learning of anti-racist practice and unlearning of white supremacist implicit biases and beliefs. In the therapy room, this means I’m critically investigating how power, identity, and implicit biases may be showing up or impacting our work. - I approach sexuality in an open, non-judgmental, and inclusive way. I believe exploring sexuality can be a window into unspoken wounds, deep relational desires, and that fantasy offers your mind-body’s creative solutions to healing those wounds and fulfilling your needs. - As a cis-gender provider, I believe that continually educating myself re: the trans experience is an ethical responsibility, I also believe that naming power dynamics in the therapy room is an important step to establishing psychological safety and trust.
