About My Clients
You are exhausted, unmotivated, and too anxious to sleep. Your heart is broken, you feel hyperaware and fearful, and your mind will not be quiet. Your relationship may be on the brink of destruction or maybe you are scared you will never be healthy enough for a secure and stable relationship. Right now you are surviving, but need to move to a place of healing and peace. A place where you can thrive despite the challenges life has thrown your way. You know there has to be more but what is it?
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2018 with my Master’s in Social Work (MSW). I then went on to provide in-home therapy to a multiethnic, multi-aged community in Los Angeles (Service Plan Areas 6, 7, and 8) from 2018 to 2021. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2021. Prior to my MSW, I worked as an in-home behavioral therapist for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am a certified CORS (Crisis Oriented Recovery Systems) and MAP clinician. I am also working toward becoming a Certified Gottman Couple’s Therapist at this time having completed levels 1 and 2. I love working with couples, individuals struggling with panic attacks and dysfunctional anxiety; and individuals throughout the perinatal journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy starts with empathy. Despite life circumstances or the reason one may be seeking support, I value understanding the feelings and needs of my clients. I believe empathy must be followed with responsibility. I make sure to accept responsibility when I make mistakes, following through with the responsibility I commit to as a therapist for my clients. I value my clients accepting responsibility for their commitment to the healing process through timeliness and respecting policies agreed upon at the start of treatment. Lastly, therapy must be built on a platform of honesty and trust between client and therapist.
