About My Clients

I help career-focused women between the ages of 30-50 who struggle with crippling insecurity and self-doubt, causing them to feel stuck and unfulfilled in their lives. Drawing upon my own experience and transformation, I help these women develop self-compassion and understanding. Using a combination of CBT, EMDR, and Mindfulness practices, I help my clients cultivate a positive perspective so they can break through their limiting beliefs, heal from past traumas, and gain clarity and purpose.

My Background and Approach

My core values of compassion, kindness, and resilience shape my approach to care as a therapist. These values are deeply rooted in my personal experiences as a new immigrant, an atheist-turned-Nichiren Buddhist, and a single mother. I believe that pain is an inevitable part of life but suffering is optional because we all have the innate strength and resilience to face any challenges that come our way. I see these challenges as opportunities for growth and believe that we all have the potential to unlock unlimited possibilities in life. I believe that love and kindness are the ultimate balm for broken hearts and lost souls and that compassion helps us connect and work together to create a better world. These beliefs inform my humanistic, insight-driven approach to psychotherapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Empathy and emotional intelligence have always been my natural strengths; I have been told this by friends throughout my life. Even as a young child, my friends would tell me that I was a great listener, offered helpful advice, and my calm presence and soothing voice provided them with comfort. It was during my college years that I experienced an existential crisis and became more deeply interested in psychology. I took classes, received training in the field, and became involved in a mental health organization focused on young adult mental health. These experiences sparked my ongoing contemplation of questions like, “Who am I? What is the meaning of life? How can I live a life full of joy and fulfillment?” I received my Master of Social Work from UCLA and became an LCSW in 2011. There is nothing quite like the joy I feel when a client has an "aha" moment, and it is my passion to help as many people as possible gain clarity, heal from troubles, and create the life they love.
