About My Clients
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate in Washington State serving women, transgender, and gender-non-conforming individuals. Clients typically come to me with concerns regarding relationship difficulties, LBGTQ+ challenges, codependency, anxiety, depression, and much more.
My Background and Approach
I chose to become a therapist because I believe the most precious and valuable part of the human experience is positive and meaningful connection. We need love and connection to thrive, but unfortunately face traumas that keep us from the healthy relationships we deserve –with others and with ourselves. I also believe that the systems we exist in are designed to keep us from living our most authentic lives. Therapy helps to rewire unhelpful beliefs, gives us the tools to navigate relationships more effectively, and supports finding ultimate peace within ourselves. Most importantly, I am certain that healing can come from establishing a genuine relationship based on trust and unconditional positive regard. It is important that you feel and know that I am deeply invested in learning you, supporting you, and growing with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a cisgendered white woman, I am dedicated to unlearning my internalized bias, racism, and prejudice. I seek to dismantle systems of oppression in my work as a therapist and in my community. My ultimate goal is to be a safe space for BIPOC and queer clients to discuss the role of race, gender, and sexuality in their therapeutic work.
