About My Clients
I help teens, adults, and families who are struggling with their interpersonal or multicultural issues, by providing them a nonjudgmental space and empowering them to learn and cultivate a healthier relationship with themselves and the important people in their lives. Dealing with difficult feelings can be defeating and exhausting. Therapy is a space where you can just be you. It’s a place to learn how to take care of yourself, grow, and learn how to thrive.
My Background and Approach
I became a social worker as a result of my lived experience. I am a second-generation Vietnamese-Chinese American woman. Growing up I was constantly torn between the culture and expectations of my home life and those of my outside world. I saw the mental health and social justice struggles that my family members and other Asian Americans experienced, and I knew I wanted to do something to help. I was drawn to therapy as a meaningful way to connect with and empower people in a similar position as I was.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about social and racial justice and advocating for mental health awareness. I want to empower people who are hurting, want to heal, address issues in their lives, and achieve their goals.
