About My Clients
I collaboratively aid my clients in reaching their goals. I firmly believe that what you put in to therapy is what you get out of it. At the end of our time together, my clients have new tools that they have practice and are confident in using on their own, they have personal growth, and a (re)newed sense of self-love.
My Background and Approach
I have a Bachelor of Science from UCLA in Psychobiology. I went from there to my Master of the Arts in Couples and Family Therapy at Alliant International University. While gaining my hours for licensure, I also earned my Doctorate of Psychology in Couples and Family Therapy at Alliant. My dissertation was on barriers that Jewish individuals may face when seeking therapy, and it is in the process of getting published. Along with my LMFT, I received my Registered Play Therapist license in March of 2021. Play therapy is not just for children, but is a very useful tool for teenagers and inner-child work for adults. When was the last time you played? I am also trained by the top couples' therapists in the world in Emotionally Focused Therapy. EFT uses the idea that somehow couples in distress have fallen into a 'negative interaction cycle.' Through sessions, we identify how the couple got there, what the missing attachment need is, and develop a new, helpful interaction cycle.
