About My Clients
Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or defeated? Has worry taken over your life? Instead of feeling at peace, you might find yourself on edge or overreacting to things and people. Or maybe past trauma is resurfacing and is now also impacting your relationships while leaving you confused and frightened. Together with you, I want to explore and understand your story and figure out what is needed for you to let go of what is holding you back, heal, grow, and reach your unique goals.
My Background and Approach
While we often rationally believe in our strengths and potential for growth, our gut tends to reliably remind us that we are to blame, not good enough, unsafe, or powerless - because it feels so true. My deepest hope for our work together is for you to not only know that you are worthy of love and a fulfilled life but that you can also feel it in your body and live accordingly. Many clients reach out to me after noticing that “just talking” about their challenges did not seem to fully resolve them. While it is crucial to better understand and rewrite the limiting narratives that shape us, not all of our impactful past memories and experiences are entirely accessible through conversation. From a psychodynamic lens, I draw from trauma-informed modalities such as EMDR, somatic therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy to create a safe space of warmth, curiosity, and humor to collaboratively explore, identify, and address the sources of your pain.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in both our mind’s and our body’s innate ability to heal when provided with the right environment and resources. Mental health "symptoms" are our mind and body’s way of communicating that something is out of balance and that some kind of change is needed for us to be our best selves. My job as a therapist is to help you navigate life’s challenges, understand how prior stressors might still impact you and help you connect with the best version of yourself. If you think we might be a good match, reach out! I'd love to get to know you.
