About My Clients
Have you faced a recent loss, change, or shift in your life? Big changes can feel unsettling and scary. Grief can feel all consuming. I want to help my clients navigate these losses and deep waters. As isolating as grief, anxiety, depression, and life changes can be I believe no one should have to face these things alone.
My Background and Approach
I take a collaborate approach with my clients, focusing on each individuals unique strengths to create a safe environment for therapy. I use a variety of tools, skills and techniques that I have honed over the years and work with client's so they can implement these skills into their everyday life. I am a Licensed Social Worker and a certified grief counselor who is passionate about helping people navigate the painful realities we face after losing a loved one, whether through death, a break up or other means. I also have a background working with women experiencing women's health issues, sexual assault survivors, and those struggling with anxiety, depression or other mood disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of authentic and meaningful human connection. I believe growth and change are best fostered in an environment where you feel heard, seen, respected, safe, and valued. As a therapist, it is of the utmost importance that the therapeutic work we do together be a completely collaborative process. I feel passionate that the relationship we have with our emotions, especially the painful ones, dictates the quality of our lives. As humans, we all struggle with painful feelings, whether from loss, anxiety, sickness, or changes. It is my goal to partner with you as we trudge through these painful emotions together to find a deeper understanding and ultimately evolve from these experiences as you discover the power within yourself to create lasting change.
