About My Clients

I work with young adults, older teens, women, and adults navigating trauma, life transitions, self-esteem, identity, and relationship challenges. I’m also interested in working with couples who want to improve communication, better understand each other, or work through challenges in their relationship. Therapy should be a place where you can be honest, think things through, and work toward changes that feel realistic for your life.

My Background and Approach

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. My experience includes working with adolescents, young adults, families, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional challenges, relationships, and life transitions. My approach is a mix of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered, and solution-focused approaches. I don’t believe therapy should look the same for everyone. I like to meet people where they are, have real conversations, and figure out together what is actually going to be helpful. A big part of my work is helping clients understand themselves and patterns that may be affecting how they think, feel, and respond. From there, we can work together on practical ways to handle challenges, strengthen relationships, and make changes that fit into your actual life, not just sound good on paper.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that our identities, communities, and experiences all shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. I value social justice and believe in respecting and learning from people of different races, ethnicities, cultures, religions, and non-religious backgrounds. I also value LGBTQ+ inclusion and believe everyone deserves to feel respected and understood for who they are. I’m a big believer in having things in life that make you feel like yourself outside of work and responsibilities. For me, that includes music, festivals, dressing up, costumes, creativity, art, and, of course, animals. I think hobbies, passions, and having people you can genuinely connect with are important parts of a fulfilling life. Whether it’s creating something, trying something new, or simply having fun, I think there is a lot of value in making room for the things that bring you joy.
