About My Clients
I work as a generalist and treat individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns, including life and role transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. I specialize in women's issues including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and infertility.
My Background and Approach
I will work with you to deepen your understanding of yourself and your emotions by providing a non-judgmental space for you to discuss your concerns, examine patterns in your behavior and relationships, and explore the impact of your thoughts and behaviors. We are all unique and as such, each treatment plan will be adapted to your specific needs. I received my BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and my MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the American University. During my doctoral training, I worked in a variety of settings in the Washington, DC area, including the American University Counseling Center, the Washington DC VA Medical Center, and the James J. Gray Psychotherapy Training Clinic. I completed a predoctoral internship at the George Mason University Counseling Center.
