Welcome to stepping towards a better version of yourself. This may feel like a steep mountain to climb, a fast-current river to cross, or maybe a canyon you want to observe before taking a step into it, only to come out of it. These are all metaphors for how one may feel with anxiety and/ or depression or simply adjusting to life's transitions and sudden changes from a new relationship, to one that comes to an end. Regardless of age, we will all experience change. I'm here to help.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief and adjustment disorders. I offer a collaborative and supportive therapeutic approach, integrating cognitive based-behavioral therapies, mindfulness techniques, and strengths-based strategies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Each of us is a whole person with different experiences and we all have personal stories to explore. In our sessions we begin with person-centered therapy to explore what led you to therapy. As things come up, we may use other types of therapies to explore specific thoughts & behavior patterns and how they impact your emotions & experiences through application of different strategies.
