About My Clients
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults who present various problems and concerns, such as depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and self-harm.
My Background and Approach
I earned my master’s in professional mental health counseling from Lesley University in 2023. As a Lesley University alumnus, my core belief in her practice is the centrality of the self as an instrument of change. Before joining Birch Hill, Anna worked with Children’s Services of Roxbury as an Outpatient Clinician providing individual counseling to children and adolescents. My approach to counseling is rooted in humanistic, person-centered principles. I forge authentic relationships with my clients, offering acceptance, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I tailor and implement evidence-based interventions that align with my client's interests and needs using CBT, DBT, and EMDR approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of early interventions to help children and teens develop healthy boundaries and coping skills and have healthier and happier relationships with themselves and others.
