About My Clients
Are you on edge wondering when the next bad thing is going to happen? Do you find yourself using food, substances, or sex to lessen the stress you are feeling? Dealing with trauma, addiction, and the weight of anxiety can be overwhelming and I don't want you to have to go through it alone. Treating the root cause of your symptoms can reduce your distress, and I look forward to teaching you tools to take back your life back.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in working with adults that are dealing with eating disorders, addiction, anxiety, and trauma. My approach to counseling is relational and practical. I want to equip you with skills to use in everyday life to reduce your symptoms. I also want to help you address the root issues at play in your life. We will work collaboratively to address the distress you are currently experiencing. If you are experiencing distress because of past experience or trauma, I am trained in EMDR to help you deal with the painful memories. This process helps the brain process the memories and store them in a way that allows them to exist but not intrude on your daily life. You'll gain skills to deal with current symptoms, while addressing the trauma that may be causing your distress.
