About My Clients
I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, and adults who experience anxiety, depression, personality traits, Autism Spectrum, bipolar, PTSD, and more. I also have experience helping with challenges faced by athletes, middle schoolers and high schoolers, self-esteem, foster care/adoption dynamics, divorce, and interpersonal challenges.
My Background and Approach
I tend to work from a lens that incorporates fostering autonomy, attachment, trauma informed/sensitive, emotion regulation, a social justice framework, as well as culturally sensitive and informed perspective. I also do not believe in a cookie-cutter or one-size fits all approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that change and positive growth is available for anyone when they are ready. Therapy is a space for self-reflection and to view and challenge unhealthy behaviors and patterns that have developed. Through this insight, I believe that a person is able to become self-aware and change what they feel they need to change. Anxiety can receive a stigma associated with it, yet I like to think of it as the companion that helped keep you safe. It is when it gets to be a little too strong when people face challenges in their lives. I also feel that operating from a multicultural approach is extremely important. I'd love to get to know you holistically, and help you find your voice!
