About My Clients
My ideal client is someone feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. They’re open to reflection and want therapy that feels steady and supportive. Whether navigating trauma, transitions, or big emotions, they’re looking for care that meets them where they are. I offer therapy that’s collaborative, grounded, and attuned to what each person needs.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) providing virtual therapy services across North Carolina. Prior to starting my private practice, I spent nearly a decade in community mental health, supporting children, teens, and families through experiences of trauma, life transitions, and emotional distress. This work has shaped my approach, allowing me to interact with clients with steadiness, respect, and care that moves at your pace. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University and completed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training at the Institute for Creative Mindfulness during my internship. I now work with clients of all ages, utilizing a variety of techniques including EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Polyvagal Theory, and attachment-based approaches. My goal is to provide therapy that feels grounded, responsive, and genuinely helpful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be welcoming, accessible, and genuine. I am deeply committed to creating spaces where people feel seen and supported, especially those who have felt dismissed or overwhelmed in the past. I offer care that is honest, attuned, and grounded in mutual respect. Outside of therapy, I connect with others through creativity, community, and nurturing both personal growth and the world around me.
