About My Clients
In my role as clinical social worker, I work primarily with trauma survivors, and people seeking relief from depression or anxiety. I am licensed in Colorado, California and Florida, and can see clients located in those states. At this time I am providing services virtually.
My Background and Approach
I'm a PhD, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20+ years of experience, with most of my training and experience at the Dept of Veterans Affairs. As a recovery-oriented therapist, specializing in treating trauma, depression, and anxiety, I fully believe that recovery is possible. I use research-backed techniques to help you start feeling better quickly.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
After experiencing a tragedy, trauma, or abuse, you may have intense emotions, nightmares, and disturbing images in your mind. Perhaps you isolate or disconnect, or you keep thinking about what you should’ve done, and question why it happened. Using substances, and having increased depression, anxiety, and anger are all normal responses. Whether you've been struggling for decades, or if this is a new experience, you can regain control over your life, reconnect with others, and rebuild emotional and physical intimacy that may have been lost.
