About My Clients
I work best with thoughtful, self-aware adults who may understand their patterns intellectually but still feel stuck repeating them. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, grief, trauma, or chronic overthinking. I also work with couples who want to understand the deeper dynamics beneath recurring conflict. EMDR and EMDR Intensives are available for clients seeking focused trauma work.
My Background and Approach
My approach is psychodynamic, psychoanalytic-informed, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed. I am also EMDR trained through the EMDR Institute and offer traditional EMDR therapy and EMDR Intensives. I work with clients who want to understand not only what is happening, but why. We often go beneath the surface of the immediate problem to explore recurring patterns, relationships, defenses, beliefs, and emotional experiences that may operate outside of conscious awareness. Many clients already have insight but still find themselves repeating the same patterns; therapy can help bridge the gap between understanding and change. Attachment is an important part of my work, including how you experience closeness, conflict, rejection, vulnerability, and uncertainty. My style is warm, curious, collaborative, and engaged. The goal is not only symptom relief, but deeper self-understanding, greater emotional flexibility, healthier relationships, and choices that feel less driven by old wounds.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we can create lives that feel more intentional, connected, and authentic. The more deeply we understand ourselves—our patterns, defenses, needs, fears, and histories—the more agency we have to choose differently. I do not believe that people are permanently defined by their past or by the ways they learned to survive. The human psyche is capable of remarkable change when it feels safe, understood, and given space to be curious rather than judged. I believe therapy can be a place where we become less driven by old wounds and automatic patterns and more able to respond from choice. Growth is not about becoming a different person; it is about knowing yourself more fully and having greater freedom in how you live, love, and relate.
