My Background and Approach
I have been providing marriage counseling for over 16 years. My marriage counseling approach is grounded in the principles of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the Gottman Couples Therapy Method.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I see the profession of a marriage therapist as one that brings fulfillment and meaning into my life by helping others. My personal background has significantly influenced my decision of pursuing the profession of a marriage and family therapist. I had both positive and negative experiences. The healing process was not easy, and I learned a lot from attempting to heal my own emotional pain. With time I was able to heal and live my life fully. Even though it is not easy, I know that it is possible to stop the cycle of abuse, heal from trauma and have a happy and fulfilling life.
