About My Clients
I work with children, teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and emotional overwhelm. I have a special passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autism, and learning differences. Whether through play, conversation, or practical strategies, I help clients better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Background and Approach
My path to counseling is built on a strong foundation in both education and mental health. I hold a Master's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Before becoming a counselor, I taught across every stage of development, including preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, and university settings. This experience gives me a unique understanding of the academic, social, emotional, and developmental challenges people face throughout life. As a mom myself, I understand the joys, demands, and complexities of family life, and I bring that perspective into my work with children, teens, adults, and parents. My background allows me to support clients navigating school concerns, parenting challenges, life transitions, anxiety, self-esteem, executive functioning difficulties, and emotional overwhelm. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With a background in education, I bring a grounded, real-world understanding of how people learn, struggle, and thrive in everyday environments like school, home, and relationships. As a mom and an animal lover, I deeply understand the importance of patience, connection, and finding calm in the chaos of everyday life. I have a strong passion for neurodivergence and value the many ways minds can work. ADHD, autism, and learning differences are not things to “fix,” but differences to understand and support with compassion and practical tools. With children, I use play-based approaches because play is how they express what words often cannot. With teens, I create a space that feels safe, honest, and low-pressure. With adults, we focus on clarity, coping, and reconnecting with what matters most. With families, I help strengthen communication and build calmer, more connected relationships. My approach is simple: people grow best when they feel understood, supported, and accepted as they
