About My Clients

Do you often feel like you’re not enough, no matter how much you achieve? That inner critic might be relentless, pushing you to chase perfection but leaving you feeling unsatisfied and drained. I know that's exhausting, and it can take a toll not only on your confidence but also on your relationships. It doesn’t have to stay this way. Together, we’ll work to quiet the self-doubt, build lasting self-esteem, and create healthier, more fulfilling connections in your life.

My Background and Approach

Over the past decade, I’ve developed tools to help clients overcome negative self-talk, self-doubt, and relationship challenges. Drawing from psychodynamic and CBT approaches, I’ll help you explore the deeper roots of these struggles while equipping you with practical techniques to reframe thoughts, regulate emotions, and feel more confident in yourself and your relationships. My approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused. We’ll begin with what’s troubling you most right now, whether it’s relentless self-criticism, feelings of inadequacy, or challenges in your connections with others, and work to understand how these patterns developed. I’ve spent years helping clients manage anxiety, self-doubt, and relational difficulties. We’ll examine how your mind processes negative thoughts and how these are impacting your life. Together, we’ll work to break unhelpful cycles, build resilience, and empower you to approach life with greater self-compassion and authenticity.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a therapist with a multicultural background, I deeply believe that our cultural identities shape how we see ourselves and navigate the world. Growing up in Japan and Belgium, I understand how cultural values, family expectations, and societal pressures can influence not only our goals but also the way we talk to ourselves and connect with others. I believe healing starts with self-awareness, exploring how our upbringing and cultural context shape our beliefs, behaviors, and relationships. This understanding helps us honor where we come from while creating space to grow into the person we want to be. I strive to help clients embrace the complexity of their identity and find balance between cultural expectations and personal values. In therapy, I aim to create a safe space where your unique story is understood and respected. Together, we’ll explore how culture impacts your experiences, so you can live a life that truly reflects your authentic self.
