About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready to explore their inner world with honesty, courage, and compassion. I work best with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, relationship stress, low self-worth, grief, or a sense of feeling “stuck.” Whether you’re questioning your next step, struggling with confidence, or carrying emotional pain from the past, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to unpack it all. I also enjoy working with multicultural clients.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida with over 20 years of experience supporting adults through life’s challenges. My background includes working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strength-based, trauma-informed practices to help clients build insight, emotional resilience, and a deeper sense of self-worth. As a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) with multicultural roots, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to therapy. I understand the complex identities many clients hold — whether related to language, culture, immigration, or faith — and I create space for all of that in our work together. My clients often share that they feel deeply understood, supported, and empowered to make lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a daughter of immigrants, a bilingual therapist, and a person deeply connected to my cultural roots, I believe in the healing power of identity, belonging, and intergenerational resilience. I’m passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces for people navigating the complexities of culture, family, and self-worth. I support causes that promote mental health access, trauma-informed care, and equity — especially for underserved communities. I care deeply about immigrant and refugee mental health, women’s empowerment, and holding space for grief and spiritual healing. I value compassion, directness, and honoring each client’s story in its full depth. I’m also a lifelong learner and advocate. I support LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, Black Lives Matter, and believe in culturally responsive practice. I strive to meet clients with openness and humility, no matter their background or beliefs. Outside of therapy, I’m grounded by my family and my Cuban and Puerto Rican roots.
