About My Clients
Whether it's your first time in therapy or you're looking for a new therapist, I strive to make the process of therapy approachable, engaging, empowering, hopeful, and collaborative. I specialize in working with people who are young to middle-aged adults, new to therapy, are feeling challenged in relationships (family, friends, intimate), stressed out in their job/school, feel anxious, are high achieving, or have experienced trauma. I'll help you find hope, rebalance, make changes, & heal.
My Background and Approach
Licensed in both CA & FL, I work with individuals to help them better understand themselves, others, their emotions. & challenges. Therapy with me includes exploring your identities & values that are meaningful to you, while identifying how your life is aligned with them. I have the upmost respect & honor for those who I work with, & strive to create a therapeutic space where you can feel heard, empowered, where we can have challenging and also celebratory conversations. These are key factors for change. I also will teach you tools on how to manage tough emotions & regulate your thoughts. This is where mindfulness practice can come in, or a different scientific-based approach based on your needs and interests. I also value mutuality in our therapeutic relationship. This means that I'll provide feedback to you, & also invite your feedback & perspective on your experience as well. I view you as the expert in your life and I serve as an unbiased support to help guide you towards change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe we can all benefit from therapy, whether it's to address specific and current life challenges, build on coping strategies, have a space where our voice is heard, explore who we are, and/or to address ongoing challenges that have been keeping us stuck in a life that feels less than ideal. I also believe in a holistic approach to treatment and implementing this approach in my own life. The mind, body, social, and spiritual connection has a profound impact on how we function, feel, and view the world. When not providing therapy, I enjoy being outdoors, being active, and enjoy any views that includes the water, mountains, and animals in nature. I enjoy opportunities to learn about cultures different from my own, understand my experiences more deeply, & find vegan cooking to be my own creative outlet. Meditation, cycling, strength training & hiking are ways that I enjoy engaging in self-care and self-compassion. I look forward to learning more about you in our work together!
