About My Clients
I only work 9-5 Mon-Fri. So my clients must be able to meet in the daytime. I typically have a waiting list for new people but, eventually, I can usually accommodate people to the times that work best for them. I work best with clients with chronic or acute anxieties (panic, GAD, PTSDs, phobias, etc), bipolar or other mood disorders. I also work with acute post traumatic stress - complex PTSD.
My Background and Approach
I've had my clinical license since 2002. I have had great experience in private practice and before pp. I have been drawn to therapies that are based on solid research demonstrating long- term improvement of symptoms. The therapies that I am very well trained in are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). I enjoy learning and do extensive training, readings, and clinical consultation to make sure I am providing excellent services. I also offer consultation and supervision to other clinicians.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we should all keep an eye on the basics: eating well, exercising, and good sleep. I'm a parent and wife. I enjoy the outdoors, travelling, reading, and hanging with my dog.
