About My Clients

I believe therapy is not about "fixing" you, because you are not broken. Therapy is about creating a safe space, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, your emotions, and you patterns of thinking and behaving. Together, we will uncover what is getting in the way of your well-being, identifying new ways of coping that align with your values and goals. My style is warm, collaborative, and down to earth.

My Background and Approach

Therapy is not a one size fits all approach. I will assess your needs and find the approach that works best for you. When necessary, I will use EMDR to help heal the way your brain has stored experiences that may be working against you. DBT will help equip you with skills to manage life's stressors. CBT can help you reframe the way you are thinking about experiences in your life. I use evidence- based approaches, and together we will find what works best for you. Some sessions might focus on practical strategies to manage anxiety. Others may involve exploring deeper emotional wounds, old beliefs, or the impact of past experiences. At the heart of it, therapy is about helping you reconnect with yourself and build the tools you need to move forward. I work with adolescents and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, adoption/foster care, personality disorders, OCD, and a variety of other struggles.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I want you to know my practice is a safe and affirming space for all people. I celebrate diversity and welcome clients from every background, identity, and orientation. I am especially committed to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as standing in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and other movements that affirm human dignity and equity. I recognize the challenges you may face are not only personal, but also shaped by the world around you- systems of oppression, discrimination and inequality can weigh heavily on mental health. Therapy is not only about healing, but also validating your lived experiences in a society that doesn't always make room for them.
