About My Clients
I specialize in providing therapy to women (18 to 35) struggling with life transitions, identity development and relationship issues.
My Background and Approach
I assist my clients in examining how their family upbringing impacted their identity, interpersonal dynamics and thoughts and behavioral patterns. We will deconstruct those patterns and create new, healthier patterns. I incorporate a variety of interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I am also developing a skillset utilizing a somatic based approach. Additionally my services are strengths based as well as social justice and trauma informed. Above all else, I am passionate about working with under served communities, committed to breaking the cycle of violence and helping families develop the tools in order to thrive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my passion and life mission to serve others. I chose the healing arts profession of psychotherapy as my contribution to the world. I believe we all possess internal qualities to overcome life’s challenges while simultaneously growing in the process. At times though, we need another person to guide us through that journey. That is where I come in. I serve as a guide and supportive force for my clients. In a safe atmosphere, we discuss your strengths, identify patterns that hinder your growth, work through past traumas and explore your goals for the future.
