About My Clients
If you are looking to work with me, you are someone who is motivated to do the work & make positive change in your life. My clients are insightful & interested in learning more about their own emotional & relational patterns to enhance their self-awareness & break unhealthy cycles. Often, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, high stress, difficulty with self-esteem or who have experienced trauma in their lives. If any of that describes you, I'm excited to work with you!
My Background and Approach
I believe that my clients are the experts on their lives, so I work collaboratively with them to work toward their goals and help them to realize their full potential. My clinical style is generally Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) and psychodynamic, insight-oriented therapy; however, I adjust my style to fit my clients and their needs, integrating other styles such as mindfulness, strengths-based and motivational interviewing as appropriate. I am also trained in both Accelerated Recovery Therapy (ART) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), both of which are modalities that are highly effective for PTSD, anxiety, phobias, and depression. I have experience in the school setting as well as in both private and non-profit mental health practices in both clinical and director roles. In these settings, I have helped empower clients to work through and overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, loss and traumas.
