About My Clients
I believe there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations and value individual interests and needs as well as personal circumstances. My approach infuses aspects from Client centered, Solution focused, Cognitive behavioral, Attachment theory, Mindfulness, Motivational interviewing, EMDR and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy to tailor therapy to support the individual client and/or family’s treatment goals.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from Regent University and a Master's of Science (MS) in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have earned and maintain membership in the International Psychology Honor Society, Psi Chi. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida, a Master Certified Addiction Professional, MCAP, in the State of Florida as well as a Qualified Clinical Supervisor in the State of Florida and an Approved Clinical Supervisor through the National Board for Clinical Counselors. I hold certification through Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, EAGALA, in mental health. In addition, I am a trained EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) therapist specializing in treating (complex) trauma, PTSD, anxiety, stress and fears as well as performance enhancement. Currently, I am completing a Brain Health Coaching Certification from Dr. Amen at Amen University.
