My Background and Approach
Angela Ayoub Shunnarah, LICSW, LMSW, is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in the treatment of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) in children, adolescents, and adults. She is licensed to practice in Iowa, Alabama, Florida, and her home state of Michigan. For more than 12 years, Angela has been dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of anxiety and OCD. She has received extensive, specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), with a strong emphasis on exposure-based treatments. Angela has completed the Pediatric Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) hosted by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), an intensive, advanced training program focused on gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for pediatric OCD. She is also trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), a parent-based intervention for childhood anxiety and OCD.
