About My Clients
By fostering supportive, non-judgmental spaces, I encourage my clients to explore, reframe, and reclaim their life stories on their terms. I invite you to express your emotions about these things in whatever way feels natural to you. I recognize the influence of societal factors on personal experiences and work collaboratively with clients to explore their intersecting identities in relation to the challenges they face. Together, we will set attainable goals and establish healthy boundaries.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board-certified Art Therapist. My clinical focuses include grief and loss, managing chronic illness and differing abilities, navigating life transitions, and end-of-life issues. Whether utilizing narrative therapy and/or other approaches — such as art therapy for clients interested in creative expression — I draw from a variety of modalities rooted in patient-centered care, harm reduction, and social justice. My experience includes working in hospice, inpatient mental health, and both outpatient and inpatient services for individuals and families managing memory loss.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer woman and a practicing artist, my identity is deeply intertwined with my therapeutic work. Outside of supporting clients on their journeys, I find joy in creating art, getting lost in books and films, cooking vegan food, and spending time with loved ones, both human and furry.
