About My Clients
I work with individuals, including adolescents and teens. I have experience with adoption, anxiety, coping skills, marital concerns, cultural stress, depression, family conflict, job stress, life coaching, peer relationships, sexual abuse and assault, parenting, women's issues, stress, gaming culture, and LGBTQIA+-related concerns.
My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in evidence-based, ethical care and meeting clients where they are. I integrate video games into therapy when appropriate, not as a distraction, but as a clinically intentional tool to support engagement, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and connection. I blend gaming with CBT, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches to create a collaborative, safe, and supportive therapeutic space.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My journey to mental healthcare began after separating from the United States Navy. I transitioned to civilian life working in mental health while pursuing my education, gaining experience with diverse populations facing a range of life's challenges myself. I strive to keep my communication culturally sensitive, attachment-based, and feminist-informed. I create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Through empathy, active listening, and collaborative dialogue, we explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
