About My Clients
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, high-functioning adults who appear to have it together on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, ADHD, or the lasting effects of childhood emotional neglect. They are often the ones who have spent years taking care of others, pushing through difficult emotions, or meeting everyone else's needs while losing touch with their own.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation (LPC-MHSP) in Tennessee and hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. I have training in EMDR and the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), both of which are trauma-focused approaches that help people heal from difficult experiences without relying solely on talking about them. My work integrates EMDR, parts work, somatic approaches, and CBT to help clients better understand themselves, process unresolved experiences, and develop healthier ways of relating to their emotions, relationships, and daily lives. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, or the effects of childhood emotional neglect, therapy can help you move beyond simply coping and begin creating meaningful, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person makes sense in the context of their life experiences. Rather than focusing on what is "wrong" with you, I strive to understand how your experiences have shaped the ways you think, feel, and relate to others. My approach is rooted in acceptance, inclusion, compassion, authenticity, and the belief that healing happens when people feel safe enough to be fully themselves.
