About My Clients
I work best with adults who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by life transitions, chronic stress, or health-related challenges. I have a special interest in supporting individuals and families impacted by chronic illness, including cancer, as well as those experiencing anxiety, depression, caregiver stress, and identity or life-role changes. My Background and Approach
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student currently completing my clinical internship under supervision. My counseling approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and strengths-based interventions. In sessions, I focus on creating a safe, collaborative relationship where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns without pressure or judgment. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel both supported and empowered, so I tailor treatment to each person’s needs, pace, and goals. I have a developing clinical interest in supporting individuals affected by chronic illness, grief, depression, and anxiety. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens in safe, authentic connection—both with ourselves and with others. I see people as whole individuals shaped by their experiences, relationships, values, and environment, rather than defined by their symptoms or struggles. I value compassion, honesty, and respect in the therapeutic process. I also believe that growth often happens in small, meaningful steps rather than sudden transformation. Faith can be an important source of strength, meaning, and resilience for many people, and I am comfortable incorporating spiritual perspectives into counseling when it is helpful for the client. At the same time, I deeply respect each person’s unique worldview and will always follow the client’s lead. Outside of counseling, I enjoy ongoing learning, reflective practices, and activities that promote balance and grounding in daily life.
