About My Clients
I believe that empowering clients to foster autonomy during therapy is fundamental. It has been my experience that there are two kinds of clients seeking therapy: those that have identified a problem or obstacle and seek help to resolve it, and those that recognize that something needs to be changed and seek help to identify the problem or obstacle. My job is to help facilitate both.
My Background and Approach
I am a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a strong, diverse background in Special Education (including but not limited to students with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disturbances, and Intellectual Deficiencies), Pediatric Medical Social Work, Mental Health Case Management, Court-Room Advocacy for victims of various crimes, Clinical Supervision and Administration, and Mental Health Therapy for varying populations which include members of the LGBTQIA community, survivors of various crimes including sexual assault, domestic violence, gun violence, and assault, couples seeking counseling, families seeking therapy, etc. My clients can expect to be in the driver's seat of their treatment. I encourage autonomy and act as a facilitator to help my clients identify and meet their treatment goals while fostering a warm, empowering, solution-focused environment.
