About My Clients
If you feel like you just aren't living up to your potential, it's too hard to get out of bed, you're worried that you just can't do the things people expect of you, you aren't sure why you feel this way or you know exactly why you feel it but you're tired of feeling it, we can work together to find the solution that works for you. No challenge is too big or too small. You are worth my time, we'll dip into my toolbox and find the one that helps you be the person you were meant to be!
My Background and Approach
I offer person-first, solution-focused, and strengths-based therapy to help you move forward. In our first session, I focus on getting to know you—your goals, challenges, and what has or hasn’t been helpful—so we can make our work together as meaningful and productive as possible. I value creativity in therapy and often incorporate art and play to support expression and insight. I will explain the therapeutic modalities available, and together we will decide where to begin. While we address difficult experiences from the past, our work emphasizes your strengths and building the future you want. I earned my MSW from The Ohio State University in 2017. My background includes inpatient adult mental health, intensive community-based therapy with children, and current work in schools and private practice. Prior to social work, I served in the U.S. Air Force and managed multiple Waffle House locations in Columbus, with other experience in veterinary assisting and broadcast communications.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I currently volunteer all of my free time with my children's school activities. Being a good mother is the most important thing for me outside of helping my clients. Once they graduate, I am hoping to volunteer with the local animal shelter and re-engage with a community band as a form of self-care.
