About My Clients
I specialize in situational stressors such as toxic work environments, cancer diagnosis, and divorce. I also work from experience with substance use disorders, serious mental illness, and survivors of trauma.
My Background and Approach
My primary evidence based intervention is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally I am trained and utilize Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Exposure Therapy, and Animal Therapy. My personal goals and love for holistic wellness also keep me current on nutrition, exercise, and financial well being. I also provide psycho education on assertive and effective communication. I offer a judgment free space where all are welcome and you can come as you are safely.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have the ability to change and this change starts from within. Once we learn to master our thoughts and feelings, our actions change and quality of life improves. I believe in human rights, equality for all, and positive psychology. My therapy dog, Queenie, is a sweet female pit bull who loves humans and will help anyone socialize and receive love. Taking care of our bodies with good nutrition and regular physical activity is a priority and can look different for everyone. It can also help improve self confidence and self esteem.
