About My Clients
I love connecting with people from all walks of life. From pre-teen to retired, from dealing with life stress and relationship problems to psychiatric disability, from seeking therapy to medication (or both), I'm honored to meet you where you're at. My services are most effective when my clients are open and interested in making changes in their lives that create space for hope and growth.
My Background and Approach
As a PMHNP & DNP, my training is in medication management, diagnostics and treatment planning, therapy, and leadership. I have work in mental health in a variety of roles for six years, including inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, pediatrics, college ages, adults, and dementia care. I rely on science and research proven treatment options and focus on creating a safe, supported, and collaborative environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I think it's important to respect my clients for whoever they and and wherever they are at in life. I love people, and my background shows that: I've been involved in community aid and organizing volunteer work for more than ten years, including food sharing/food waste prevention, suicide intervention, harm reduction, anti-trafficking work, and immigrant rights. I'm LGBT-affirming, supportive of non-traditional relationship and family dynamics, and I approach issues from an intersectional social justice lens. I want to see everyone succeed and become the best version of themselves possible, no matter what that looks like.
