About My Clients
Many first-generation, biracial/multiracial, and diasporic clients struggle with racial imposter syndrome, the feeling of being a fraud in their own culture or never “enough” in either world. My ideal clients are those navigating identity, family expectations, and belonging. Together, we work to reduce shame, build self-acceptance, and honor both heritage and individuality so they can live fully, without apology.
My Background and Approach
I pull mildly from a few methodologies (CBT, ACT, DBT) but my bread & butter is Narrative Therapy and Person-Centered work, as I feel these are effective practices for cultural responsiveness. I am also working towards my certification in EMDR to work on my skill sets around trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Growing up between cultures can be both a gift and a burden; carrying family sacrifices, navigating identity, and feeling like you’re never fully “enough” in either world. If you’ve felt this tension, you’re not alone. As a culturally responsive therapist, I offer a space where your story is honored and your roots are valued.
