Clients I work with may seem to have it all together. But now maybe there is a sense of depletion, irritability, or detachment from work, relationships, or passions once enjoyed. Maybe there is persistent stress, difficulty concentrating, or a sense of dread about daily tasks. Some feel trapped in a cycle of perfectionism or overwork, struggling with guilt if they slow down. Therapy offers a space to process, regain balance, and rebuild a life that feels sustainable and meaningful.

In codependency or controlling relationships, you may feel trapped, drained, and disconnected from your own needs. You might prioritize others’ happiness over your own, fear conflict, or struggle to set boundaries. Guilt, self-doubt, and anxiety are common, as is feeling responsible for someone else’s emotions. You may feel stuck, manipulated, or unsure of your worth. Therapy helps rebuild self-trust, set boundaries, and regain a sense of identity and freedom.

I work with clients who have had adverse religious experiences. There may be a sense of confusion, betrayal, or loss. There may be feelings of shame, guilt or unworthiness, especially if we were taught worth was contingent on adherence to faith. This may have led to self doubt, difficulty trusting, or questioning sense of identity. Healing from religious trauma can take time and often involves unlearning harmful beliefs and rebuilding a sense of personal value and self-compassion.
