About My Clients
You are everything to everyone. You often don’t have time for yourself and you may feel that no one truly sees you for who you are or all that you offer. The anxiety that comes from living this life can be stifling, confusing, and frustrating, but when exactly are you supposed to find the time to deal with all your feelings when you are constantly responding to everyone else's. The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.
My Background and Approach
I am a solution-focused therapist who approaches the counseling process with openness and empathy. My philosophy of counseling is client-centered, based on respect for the individual and belief in each person’s intrinsic value. I've faced the uncertainty, self-doubt, and crippling fear of infertility and while I don't have a wonderful birth story following IVF, I do have two wonderful children that I'm blessed to parent via adoption and I don't have any regrets about my journey to motherhood.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that normal is a myth and everyone is capable of living the life they want. You have the capacity to heal from trauma, break the habits that are keeping you from your purpose, and move with intention and confidence into the life you will love. In working with me, you can expect a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect, compassion, and accountability. We will work together to achieve your personal goals. Fear will try to keep you from taking that first step. Don’t give in to fear, do it afraid.
