About My Clients
Hello! I am looking for people who want to learn how to manage their past traumatic experiences, and understand how to manage those emotions. The ideal client is willing to explore how their anxiety, depression, relational and adolescents issues can impact their daily lives. They're ready to understand how various types of trauma responses appear as various emotions, and work to change those responses.
My Background and Approach
Open minded conversation allows clients to truly express their needs, goals and desires. Listening and helping guide clients to their desired destination is the professional goal when working with clients in any modality provided. Identify the issue, determine the best way to resolve the issue and set our goals for the future to allow for prosperity. I utilize a variety of therapy and modality approaches. Some of the more utilized are CBT, Interpersonal, Multicultural, SFBT, Person Centered and Art Therapy. I enjoy working with all groups of people, but have a focus on individuals, couples, adolescents and families of children with special needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Nothing is out of the ordinary, and I am willing to work with any client who seek my services. In order to grow as individuals we must heal the person to shape the future. Through life experiences, I have learned to acknowledge the challenges in my own life and embrace new ways of helping others address their own. I am an African American woman and these day to day struggles can also be moments to propel ourselves forward despite the systemic challenges we are born into as a people. I enjoy volunteering with youth programs and participating in ASD parenting supports.
