About My Clients
I’m especially comfortable working with neurodivergent youth and work best with children and teens ages 6–16. I support those navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and school-related challenges by helping them develop coping skills, confidence, and strategies that fit their unique needs and experiences.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Resident in Counseling working toward my LPC, and I’ve spent several years supporting children and teens in different settings. I’ve worked over three years in residential programs for mental health and eating disorders, a year providing intensive in-home services, and four years as a School Counselor. These experiences have helped me understand the emotional, behavioral, and school challenges kids and teens face. I use Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a trauma-informed lens to meet each client where they are and provide support that fits their unique needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a minority, I understand and relate to some of the challenges that can come with being part of a marginalized group. It’s really important to me to hold space for everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I see my clients as the experts in their own lives, and my role is to be a guide and support as they work through challenges. I don’t view therapy as a place to “fix” anyone—it’s a space for healing, growth, and figuring out who you are so you can live the life you want.
