About My Clients
Hi, I’m Angel English, LLMSW, a therapist at Pathways 2 Counseling Center. I work with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to heal but unsure where to begin. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or significant life transitions and are looking for a safe, nonjudgmental space to better understand themselves and their experiences.
My Background and Approach
I am a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) at Pathways 2 Counseling Center, providing therapy to individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I earned my Master of Social Work from Rutgers University and bring a diverse clinical background that allows me to offer both empathetic and practical support. My experience includes work as a CPS Investigator, Intake Clinician, Case Manager, and in inpatient psychiatric settings. This background helps me support clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to move forward, particularly during periods of crisis or major life stress. I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to help clients build coping skills, gain insight, and move toward greater emotional balance and resilience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value creating a therapeutic space that is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique background and experiences. I believe mental health is deeply connected to social, cultural, and environmental factors, and I approach my work with an awareness of how systemic challenges can affect emotional well-being. I am committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care that supports healing, resilience, and personal empowerment.
