A relationship can be a fulfilling place for growth and love. It can also be a challenging endeavor. While disagreements and fluctuations in intimacy are normal, sometimes relationship get off track. In couples therapy I provide a space for each individual to be heard and understood. I focus on improving communication and intimacy as well as addressing patterns that may not be working.
I have extensive experience helping clients with substance abuse, alcohol abuse, and drug addiction. I have found that clients have unique relationships with substances. An important part of this addiction therapy is finding the utility and meaning of substance use in one's life and identifying the changes you want to make.
I have years of experience and a deep understanding of the unique challenges that lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and queer individuals and couples face. You may be feeling sad, lonely, anxious, angry or concerned with your relationship. You might have questions about your sexuality, self-judgment, or difficulty negotiating the discomfort of family and friends with your sexuality. Working with a therapist with whom you feel accepted and supported can be immensely helpful in these areas
