About My Clients
My areas of focus include Asian-American identity and issues, relational issues, depression and anxiety, men’s issues, self-esteem, sex and porn addictions, LGBTQ+/sexuality issues, complex trauma, and Christian spirituality integration.
My Background and Approach
I am EMDR Certified through EMDRIA and an EMDR Consultant-in-Training, providing consultation to clinicians seeking certification. I’m also certified in Brainspotting Therapy (BSP), a mindfulness-based trauma modality developed from EMDR, and I’m a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I use diverse approaches to help clients heal from trauma and restore emotional and nervous system balance. I stay current through active membership in EMDRIA and Brainspotting. I’m also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT®) and Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist (CMAT), helping clients address compulsive behaviors with sex, pornography, chemicals, and other addictions. I’m LGBTQ+-affirming, a RAE (Rainbow Advocate and Educator) through IITAP, and work effectively with Christian clients on either Side A or B. I’m also IFS (Internal Family Systems) Level 1 trained and integrate this into my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m an LGBTQ+-affirming therapist, member of the community, and a proud advocate for the wellness, healing, and full integration of those across the spectrum of gender and sexuality. As a RAE (Rainbow Advocate and Educator) through IITAP, I actively support and promote equality, acceptance, and inclusion within both my professional and personal life. I believe every person deserves a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore and express their identity authentically. My goal is to help clients find wholeness, connection, and peace within themselves and their relationships. For clients who identify as Christian, I respectfully and effectively work with those on either Side A or B, honoring their values and beliefs without imposing my own. I do not perform or condone any form of reparative or conversion therapy and stand firmly against practices that invalidate or harm LGBTQ+ identities.
