About My Clients
I work with adults who are capable, responsible, and often carrying more than others realize. You may be dealing with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, difficult boundaries, career changes, or the feeling that something in your life no longer fits. I also work with couples who care about each other but keep getting pulled into the same painful patterns. Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what keeps happening, and make room for different choices.
My Background and Approach
For Background and Approach, I’d make it a little more personal than the website copy while still staying polished and clinically grounded. I’m a therapist who works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship strain, identity shifts, and major life transitions. My approach is thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. I pay attention to the patterns that keep repeating, the roles you have learned to take on, and the ways those patterns may once have helped you but no longer fit. I do not see therapy as a place to become a more polished version of yourself. I see it as a place to slow down, understand what is happening more clearly, and make room for different choices. I draw from relational, psychodynamic, and attachment-informed perspectives while keeping the work practical, grounded, and connected to your actual life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value therapy that makes room for the whole person, including culture, identity, relationships, work, family, and the systems we move through. As a Black woman, I understand how identity can shape the way we experience belonging, responsibility, success, safety, and care. I believe in affirming LGBTQ+ clients, supporting racial and social justice, and creating space for conversations that do not require you to leave important parts of yourself at the door. I care deeply about helping people question expectations that no longer fit and move toward lives that feel more honest, connected, and their own.
