About My Clients
I work with adults and older adults, combining neuroscience with evidence-based practices. I offer both long-term and short-term therapy, with a precise, results-oriented approach.
My Background and Approach
I am trained and certified in EMDR, which is evidence-based for treating trauma and trauma-associated somatic symptoms, PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, sports anxiety, and fears/phobias (including blood-injury-injection phobia). Using EMDR, I focus on specific targets. I specialize in treating complex trauma, relationship dynamics, self-esteem issues, anxiety, grief, loss, and depression. Leveraging the brain's ability to reorganize itself, I incorporate techniques that help clients to heal. I hold master's degrees in Clinical Counseling (2008) and Marriage and Family Therapy (2023), along with five years of postdoctoral training. I prefer holistic, somatic, and psychodynamic frameworks, ensuring that our work goes beyond mere venting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I prefer holistic, somatic, and psychodynamic frameworks, ensuring that our work goes beyond mere venting. I provide consultations for other helping professionals, including therapists, counselors, and social workers, to enhance their practice beyond traditional CBT.
