About My Clients
I enjoy working with teens and adults in individual, couple, and family settings. I have experience working in residential treatment for a wide variety of issues, including (but not limited to): oppositional defiance/conduct concerns, mood instability, parent-child interaction, personality disorders (including Borderline Personality Disorder), suicidality and self-harm, substance use, aggression, and so on. I enjoy helping couples develop stronger relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I employ various models of therapy depending upon the particular problem and the appropriate fit for the client. However, most of the treatment methods utilized incorporate a large cognitive-behavioral approach (including DBT skills). Relational therapies (whether couples or families) will also include an emotion-focused component. I work hard to find the best tools and methods that fit you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do my best to be open-minded and non-judgmental. I'll do my best to always help you progress toward your goals. I include spirituality as part of treatment as much as it may fit your style.
