About My Clients
My ideal client feels overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, or relationship issues, yet is ready for change. They seek clarity, healing, and connection—often for the first time. Their goals include building self-awareness, setting boundaries, and finding emotional balance. They want to feel empowered, authentic, and more at peace within themselves.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Oakland University and have experience working with adolescents and adults navigating life transitions and adjustment challenges. My background includes supporting clients through trauma, grief, and significant changes that can feel overwhelming or destabilizing. I practice from a trauma-informed lens and am trained in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My approach integrates compassion with practical skill-building, helping clients better understand their experiences while developing tools to manage emotions, shift unhelpful patterns, and build resilience. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore, process, and grow at their own pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. Our past experiences—especially painful or traumatic ones—can shape how we see ourselves and the world, but they do not define our future. With the right support, insight, and tools, new patterns are possible. I believe therapy should be a collaborative, respectful process where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered. My role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside you—offering guidance, evidence-based strategies, and a steady, compassionate presence as you move toward the life you want to live. I believe in meeting clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and creating a space that is culturally responsive, inclusive, and free of judgment.
