About My Clients
I work especially well with those who have always been labeled as a "strong performer", yet struggle with making the "right" decisions. Whether you’re wrestling with anxiety, getting into fights with friends, or having trouble adjusting to the demands of school, we can dive deep to understand the thoughts and feelings that can make life so challenging. I know being a teen today is no easy task, with balancing the commitments of school, family, and friends.
My Background and Approach
I use a mix of approaches to help you dig deeply within yourself and unpack the challenges you are facing. I do not believe one type of therapy fits all of my clients, so I will collaborate with you to determine what tools and strategies work best for you. I take an insight-oriented approach to my work to help you identify the roots of your thoughts and feelings and how they are affecting you today. I use a mix of techniques, including mindfulness, CBT skills, and practical problem-solving strategies, to help you find tangible strategies to cope with the challenges of daily life. During our sessions, we’ll dive into the hidden thought patterns you're unaware of, look into the messier parts of life, and develop skills to make life a little easier to handle. The teens I work with describe me as easy to talk to and relaxed, while their parents describe me as professional and insightful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can benefit from having a thought partner to work through life's challenges and unpack their emotions. Life can be difficult, and we have developed complex defenses to protect us from uncomfortable feelings. We all deserve a space to break these down, parse through our emotions, and discover the roots of our feelings to heal, grow, and lead a better life.
